What are private nameservers?

Private nameservers are DNS nameservers that are associated with your domain and are created using your domain.

A common pattern for private nameservers is:

  • ns1.yourdomain.com
  • ns2.yourdomain.com

How to create private nameservers?

If you wish to create private nameservers for your domain, you will have to do it at your domain registrar, as only your domain registrar can set them up in the registry.

When registering nameservers, use the IP address that you assigned to your domain in our system.

Once you have created your nameservers, you must assign them to your domain. Once that's done, our system will start serving your domain's DNS zone.
