What 500 Error Means?

500 error means "Internal Server Error" and you can read more about it here:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Status/500

When you see this error then it comes from cPanel. There can be many reasons like:

  • Your .htaccess configuration is incorrect
  • Your PHP script is broken

To debug the issue, look for "error_log" file that you can find in the File Manager under your files. Most of the times it appears in the root folder of your domain, but it can occur in other folders as well.

Inside that file you can find the reason why you see that error.
